Compression Socks

Description

Frequent flyers are more likely to suffer from swelling and DVT than those who are active in their day job and can move about more easily.  Compression socks can be used to help prevent DVT and varicose veins from forming by improving circulation.

These compression socks are specifically designed with graduated compression to deliver full pressure at the ankle, which gradually decreases towards the calf for optimal blood circulation and reduce soreness of the muscles.

The material is spandex and nylon.  The design includes cushioned soles to provide comfort and prevent blisters, along with additional padding at the toes, heel and sole, and a non-slip cuff to keep it in place all the time

The socks mould to your feet like a second skin without restricting the movement of the toes.  When measured up correctly (see below for guidance) these socks will produce a perfect fit.

For your optimal size; measure calf and ankle circumference for maximum compression level.  Alternatively, you can order based on EU or UK shoe size.

How to measure for the best fit

Calf Circumference – measure around the broadest part of the calf muscle.  Calf size is the primary determinant to achieve optimal compression

Ankle Circumference – measure around the narrowest part of the ankle about half an inch above the ankle bone.  If your legs are swollen, this is the most important measurement.

Foot Size – Compression socks are highly elastic in the foot section, so they should fit your feet no matter which size you order.  If you have a big difference between your calf circumference and your foot size, combine a compression ankle sock with a compression calf sleeve to get the best fit.
